The Ronald McDonald House uses the funds from the donated tabs听to听directly听improve the health and well-being of children. Justin says, 鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 resist, since it was such a small thing听to听do. I got other locations involved and it听took off from there.鈥澨� The second reason was听to听create a fun and competitive activity. With the help of several coworkers, over the last 3 years, roughly 15,000 tabs have been accumulated! The goal is听to听hit 20,000 tabs before they are taken听to听the donation station in North Portland. The Ronald McDonald House accepts pop tabs because they are easy听to听store and transport, due听to听their small size. For every million tabs, a certificate is sent听to听the person donating and they are listed on their website. They use the money听to听pay bills or help families that spend time at The Ronald McDonald House, while their children receive treatments for various illnesses. |
