This spotlights Joe 鈥淩usty鈥� Scott from our Crystal River, FL location for all the work he does in the community.
Joe volunteers 3 to 4 nights per week at Marion and Lowell Correctional Institutions. The program he is involved聽with focuses on restoring incarcerated men and women with their families, so the generational cycle of incarceration can be broken.
In December, Joe and his group of volunteers had a聽鈥淐hristmas with Dad鈥� celebration. This program allowed the imprisoned fathers to shop for and wrap gifts for their children. Everyone was able to give the gifts to their children while spending the day together bonding. This provides a聽purpose to improve in life and gives the children an opportunity to experience life with their father.
